About Our Stewardship Efforts
The Juno Beach Centre was the first museum in Normandy to have an overarching strategy of decarbonization and sustainable development. As stewards of both the history and the heritage lands on which it occurred, we take that commitment seriously.

- In partnership with a team of urbanists, experts, and landscape architects, we have developed a master plan for the Centre to better preserve the site for future generations, protecting it from further urbanization and preserving the natural landscape by restoring the surrounding dune lands, ensuring the preservation of precious ecosystems and biodiversity.
- This project will also enhance the memorial park surrounding the Centre as a space for reflection and learning, including visual/interpretive elements to remind visitors of the history of the site and the importance of passing the torch to future generations.
- Learn more about what the Centre is doing to support the kind of sustainable tourism that honours the legacy of those who fought to liberate lands like Juno Beach.
