Enhancing the Visitor Experience

In 2003, the Juno Beach Centre was built to serve 60,000 visitors a year. We now average over 100,000. This much-needed expansion will not only help us better tell Canada's story but create new revenue opportunities to ensure the Centre is funded for generations to come. This expansion will increase the museum’s physical footprint by 25 per cent, and offer visitors:

  • A more immersive experience, allowing us to expand our showcase of artifacts from the war while supporting larger biennial temporary ‘deep dive’ exhibits, as well as enabling the museum to host visiting historians, scholarly conferences and special events.
  • Create spaces that allow for greater dialogue, reflection, and learning with museum staff and tour guides to foster greater understanding of the history and its context today.
  • Include the development of an Eco-Friendly Café and Boutique to support the overall long-term financial sustainability of the museum through greater revenue generation.

Why Give?

Supporting the expansion of our facilities, including the creation of our Eco-Friendly Café and Boutique will not only help enhance the visitor experience but support the long-term financial viability of the museum, ensuring the story of our Veterans continues to be told and the values they fought so valiantly to defend are passed down to the next generation of Canadians.
